Star Trek Star Trek has always been a large part of my life. I watched it on TV (right from when I was a little girl), and believe in its ideals. I am a member of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc., which does not just consist of people who enjoy Star Trek, but also states: Our Prime Directive is to make new friends, share our interest in Star Trek in an open environment, to serve our community, and most of all: to have fun. We keep abreast of current scientific projects and share our knowledge through programs we conduct in the community. We support education of all kinds. Creative writing, art, model building, and craft events are but a few of the human endeavors in which we are interested. We value physical activity for fun. We challenge other ships and conduct fun athletic events. Our ships go on Away Missions to visit other Star Trek clubs, conventions, and theme parks. The Fleet is like an extended family.
